The sterling silver foxes on our screens become proof that 60 will be the brand new 40 (for men)

Last week, a friend, edging his way past 45, requested whether the guy should consider dyeing their locks. It is true that lately his hair have become considerably stunning. Fifty understated tones of gray have changed forever of deep brown.

But dyeing his hair? I became appalled. There was never a requirement for men to colour their unique gray. “Age gracefully,” we shrieked. My personal content was actually straightforward: getting a silver fox, perhaps not the guy exactly who pitches up in the office one-day with a differently hued, “youth-enhancing” hair just so all of your current co-workers can gossip regarding the signs of a midlife crisis.

Mercifully, the guy appears to have used attention of my amateurish dramatics and resisted achieving for Garnier Nutrisse box – however it got me thinking about more mature males. Or must I say “fantasising”? My personal mind wandered to Robert Downey Jr, Keanu Reeves and Lenny Kravitz. A wonderful psychological montage and they’re all in the 56-57 generation. Next Denzel Arizona and Richard Gere. That was a nice fitness too. And they’re in excess of 65.

And here you will find the clangers: Brad Pitt are 57. And George Clooney are 60. Indeed, 60.

Have you clocked previous photographs of either among these eternal heart-throbs?

I am not positive they’ve ever before featured best. Suave, beautiful, rocking salt-and-pepper beards, sipping Nespresso while they emerge, glistening moist, from an icy plunge in pond Como (okay, OK, that is only me personally obtaining overly enthusiastic), the two buddies led us to consider that people might be residing a golden time of more mature guys.
